First part only; breaks off on p. 81 of the printed work STC 15143 (1635). Closely resembles the 1635 edition and therefore probably written ca. 1591. See McIlwain and Ward's edition of the Archeion, 1957.

English antiquary and collector. He began collecting while at Rugby School and Oxford. On inheriting his father's estate at Middle Hill in Worcestershire, Phillipps embarked on a career of collecting manuscripts and books. His collection of manuscripts eventually numbered over 60,000 items.
